Yasmeena is an Egyptian-American photographer based in the NYC area. Driven by curiosity and the interaction between people and their environments, she takes a photojournalistic approach to the images she captures, exploring themes of tradition, cultural preservation, and identity. Initially viewed through the lens of architecture, her projects have expanded to include natural landscapes and portraiture as she seeks to capture memories and remain connected to her roots. Her work was most recently featured in the group exhibition, “Good Company” in Queens, NY.
Yasmeena holds a degree in Photographic Sciences from the Rochester Institute of Technology, which contributes to the fusion of art and science in her work as she continues to follow her curiosity and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
